Important: Two Return Types

ShopSmart operates as a dropshipping marketplace. Most products ship directly from our verified wholesale suppliers. Returns are handled differently depending on who shipped your order. Check your order confirmation email — it will indicate whether your item is a local catalog item or a supplier-shipped item.

Local Catalog Returns (Handled by ShopSmart)

Applies to: Organic Herbs, CBD/Hemp Products, Survival Gear, Organic Seeds in our local inventory

Contact us within 30 days of delivery date

Customer pays return shipping unless item is defective. Defective items: we cover return shipping

Opened CBD products are final sale per Illinois hemp regulations. Unopened only.

Supplier-Shipped Products (Returns Direct to Supplier)

Applies to: All products sourced through our universal dropship network (auto parts, electronics, clothing, appliances, and all other non-catalog items)

How supplier returns work:

Your order confirmation email includes the supplier name and their return instructions. Contact the supplier directly using the information provided. ShopSmart acts as the payment processor — the supplier owns the return/exchange process for their products.

Refunds from suppliers come through ShopSmart to your original payment method, typically within 7–14 days

Non-Returnable Items

  • Opened CBD / hemp / herbal products (health & safety)
  • Perishable goods or consumables
  • Personalized / custom-made items
  • Digital products and software licenses
  • Hazardous materials
  • Items marked Final Sale at time of purchase
  • Products missing original packaging or with removed serial numbers
